How to Clear Acne – 3 Clever Home Acne Removers

Over 90% of people experience acne at one point or another during their life. For most, it occurs during their teenage years when their body produces too much male hormone (testosterone). That’s right, girls too. Most acne during puberty is caused by an over-release of this hormone, which is difficult (and not always the best idea) to correct during that time. So instead, we have to figure out how to clear acne properly and how to get rid of acne fast. Luckily, there are dozens of easy ways to do this. Here are the top 3 ways to do it at home:

How to Clear Acne at Home…

1. Tomatoes: These are great for helping with acne for a variety of reasons. While it is true that eating them more often will help your acne, it can take a few weeks for this diet change to start to have an effect. Obviously, we’re looking for faster results. So, slice a fresh tomato and rub the cut side onto the acne spots, and then let the juice dry. Wait as long as you can (up to an hour) and then rinse off. The vitamin A from the tomato will keep your skin elastic, allowing whatever is clogging your pore to be removed easily and preventing it from clogging again.

2. Honey: This is a great method if you’re wondering how to clear acne. Like tomatoes, it’s all natural, practically free (yes you have to buy honey, but most people have it at home anyway), and can be easily and quickly applied. Best of all, since there is nothing harsh in it (such as acids or sulphur) you can leave it on as long as you’d like. Some people just put it on in the morning and wash it off at night! The same as with the tomatoes, simply put a very small amount of honey onto problem areas and let dry, then rinse off a bit later.

3. Garlic: One of the fastest proven methods for getting rid of acne. However, you must be extremely careful with this Acne Removal remedy. The sulphur in garlic helps breaks up the clog and clear the pore, but because sulphur is so caustic it can also burn your skin if left on for too long. So, try this on your shoulder first, so that if it does cause a reaction it is easy to hide. Just cut a clove of garlic in half, and hold on the Acne Spot for 3-5 minutes, but no longer then 5 minutes! After you’ve done this, immediately rinse the area with warm water and pat dry with a towel.

Now that you know how to clear acne easily, you just have to decide which method to try first. Personally, I’d save garlic as kind of a last resort. Honey has the least chance of irritating the skin, so if you have dry or sensitive skin, try honey first. Also, you can puree fresh tomatoes with a little honey into a paste and make a face mask out of it. This is a great “spa-like” treatment that will clear your acne fast and efficiently. Seriously, give these methods a try and watch as your skin becomes as smooth and as clear as you’ve always wanted it to be!
