How To Read Email Header.
and lots of other headers, appended by spam filters, mailing
list managers, email programs and auto replies. Some of
these headers are used to tell your email program something
about the message (like how to display it); others are
mostly to debug problems. But all of them can tell you a
lot more about your email than what you usually see.
So, how do you view and/or send the full headers of your email? Click on your email client in the list below for detailed instructions.
Default Sending Instructions: In most email clients, emailing the full headers of a message
requires displaying the full headers of the message, copying them
using your system's Copy command (Typically Ctrl-C or Command-C), or
using your system's Select All Command (Ctrl-A or Command-A), then
Copy.
You can then use your system's Paste command (Ctrl-V or Command-V) to
insert the headers or complete message into your email message.
Instructions for displaying the full headers of messages, and, where
appropriate, alternate methods for sending the headers, can be found
below.

nmh 1.0.4 for Solaris
Rather than forwarding the message, it is necssary to
compose a new message.
In the new message enter the following text.
#forw <N>
Where <N> is the number of the message in the current folder which is
to be attached. The command "#forw +<folder> <N>" forwards
message <N> from folder +<folder>.
After entering that data in the message body, nmh prompts "What Now?",
enter "mime" then "send" and you will have generated an RFC822 message.
